Zhang Jia Jie

Amazing.

Absolutely Breathtaking.

Wonderful.

Inspiring.

I have said it once and I'll say it again.  There is no way that God is not an Artist.  He is.  And Zhang Jia Jie proved it.

ZhanJiaJie was one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the blessing to step foot in.  I was astounded by its sheer magnificence.  Just think of a green heaven.  Clouds and mountains,  I felt as if I was in this special place,  reserved just for those adventurers that could scale mountains.  Except we really didn't hike that much did we?

"hiking" in china would be disgraceful to the outdoorsy people of the midwest.  I saw plenty of girls in high heels as they stepped on the rocky steps and along the rocky paths of the mountain.  To each their own right?

Rivaling my Rocky Mountains,  Moab,  the jungles and beaches of Mexico and Guate...

I love visiting small towns.  People just seem to be so much happier.  They slow down as you're crossing the street instead of honking to make you hurry up or be ran over.  The vibe of the town was much more chilled out then the hustle and bustle of ZhuZhou.  Everyone just smiled more.  I think escaping from the exhaust pipe that is ZhouZhou helped as well.  Away from the noise pollution and pollution pollution lifted all of our spirits and made me appreciate ZhanJiaJie that much more:)

The first day we left zhuzhou at 7am and got there late afternoon.  7 hour drive.  Busses are starting to grow on me because you don't have to worry about keeping the driver awake or getting lost.  Just pay your ticket and go.

Explored the city that night,  leaving town is always a bonding experience with us Golden Focus teachers,  we were missing one of the boys,  but traveling with each other really helps us get to know each other better.  I also learn more Chinese as I travel because its put into practice more.

Being woken up by the blast of a marching band was nothing I should have been surprised of in this random country,  just go with it and take a picture!  We had dumplings for breakfast and headed off to spend the day up in the mountains:)  photograph galore:)  Easy trails and plenty of breathtaking scenes that could sweep anyone away.

And who could forget the monkeyssssss?!??  There were so many!  and so close!!!  The Chinese tourists were feeding the monkeys and all we could think of was "nooo,  don't do that!!"  Although the monkeys were a bit agressive when they saw the food,  there were no accidents that we witnessed.  Thankfully.  Monkeyssssssssssssss!!
